Sydney has several bars and pubs to choose from, here’s a selection of just a few we’d recommend
As a dedicated sports bar, Churchill’s is a fantastic place to meet up with friends for a drink or to watch a game. Check out the Wall of Fame with all the past and present sporting personalities.
One of the fancier bars on this list, and also one of the most popular in Sydney. Part restaurant, part rooftop bar, and part club; Ivy has a little something for everyone. For those on a budget: be sure to catch the multi-hour Happy Hour specials.
Loud music, a renowned dancefloor, and cocktails served in teapots, what else could anyone want? Located in Kings Cross, World Bar regularly puts on parties and events and also offers a sizeable menu meaning you can stay there from afternoon into evening.
For a drink next to the beach, visit Coogee Bay Hotel. The bar has been operating since 1873 right next to Coogee beach and is well-stocked for a good time making it one of the most popular bars in the whole of Australia. There is also an al-fresco garden, a 1,700-capacity live entertainment venue and gorgeous views of the ocean.
Located two minutes walk from Cargo Bar lies the Helm. A bit on the pricey side, but then remember that you are paying for the experience. The music is expertly chosen, there are spectacular views over Darling Harbour and the nautical themed bar is worth visiting alone.
