Sydney Harbour Bridge

The ‘coathanger’ to locals, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the world’s largest steel arch bridges and it stands cousin-close to the iconic Opera House. The bridge is the pathway between the central business district and the North Shore for vehicles, rail, cyclists and pedestrians.  If you are the daring sort, sign up for a bridge climb but a walk across the bridge is more affordable and fabulous. If you love cycling, look for the cycleway on the western side of the bridge.

Fact – The Bridge’s design was inspired by the Hell Gate Bridge in New York City
